The hand-drawn pattern reproduces the carpet design from the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Taped to the walls, the paper will degrade, ripping, peeling, and crumpling with each ride up and down through daily use. The higher one goes (or resides), the longer the confrontation.
The gradual decay of the images serves as a hopeful metaphor.
