Founded in 2025, Haute Glue began as a small, student-led event for artists creating wearable¹ and short performance-oriented² work. In March 2026, a team of like-minded artists, designers, and creatives took Haute Glue to the next level, welcoming 200+ attendees and providing a platform for over 20 Pittsburgh artists to showcase their talent.

  1. WEARABLE SCULPTURE, SOFT SCULPTURE, COSTUMES / FASHION LINES
  2. LIVE PERFORMANCE, EPHEMERAL ACTIONS, MUSIC / SOUND

Limited to a nontraditional audio/visual event space, Haute Glue 2026 worked with the character and limitations of its surroundings.

For the 2026 event, we developed a three-projector system that expanded the performance environment throughout the College of Fine Arts building. Rear projection onto a suspended plastic sheet transformed the space between the mezzanine and first floor into a backstage.

Projection mapping by Jo Adareth  was designed around the preexisting architecture, allowing the building itself to become a part of the visual experience.
